Set against the beautiful backdrop of our volunteer-run amphitheatre, the performance transported theatre-goers into the hilarious world of P.G. Wodehouse’s much-loved characters, Bertie Wooster and his ever-resourceful valet, Jeeves. Featuring outstanding performances, live jazz music and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, the production was a perfect fit for an English summer’s afternoon. Alfresco Actors describe the show as “an uproarious adventure” featuring eccentric characters, comic mishaps and live music, and our audience certainly enjoyed every minute.
The event attracted a fantastic turnout, with theatre lovers travelling from across Worcestershire and the surrounding counties to enjoy professional open-air theatre in our unique rural setting. Visitors arrived early to enjoy picnics, refreshments and the relaxed atmosphere that has become a hallmark of a visit to The Lenches Amphitheatre.
