For the first performance of the Season, The Lenches Amphitheatre in Worcestershire welcomed a fantastic audience for The (Almost) Complete History of Britain by the ever-entertaining Pantaloons Theatre Company—and what an afternoon it became.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Vale of Evesham, the weather couldn’t have been better. Warm sunshine and clear skies created the perfect setting for outdoor theatre in The Lenches, with guests relaxing on the grass, enjoying afternoon tea picnics and soaking up the atmosphere before the show began.
The Pantaloons, known for their energetic and playful performance style, delivered exactly what they promised: a fast-paced, hilarious journey through British history. With live music, audience interaction and plenty of comic twists, the production had the audience laughing throughout. Their unique blend of comedy, physical theatre and improvisation gave the engaging performance a fresh feel – we can’t wait to have them back at the Lenches Amphitheatre.
As the 2026 season continues, our first performance perfectly captured what live outdoor theatre in Worcestershire is all about—great entertainment, great company and to enjoy it in a special place. We can’t wait to welcome you to our other performances.
