If you’re looking for the perfect way to spend a summer afternoon this August, we have just the thing.
On Sunday 16 August, we’re delighted to welcome Alfresco Actors to The Lenches Amphitheatre with their open-air production of Jeeves & Wooster in Stiff Upper Lip, Jeeves. Alfresco Actors specialise in bringing high-quality theatre to beautiful outdoor venues across the UK, combining classic storytelling with the unique magic of open-air performance.
Based on P.G. Wodehouse’s much-loved novel, this witty adaptation follows the ever-amiable Bertie Wooster as he stumbles from one outrageous predicament to another. Fortunately, his brilliantly intelligent valet Jeeves is never far away, ready to rescue his employer from disaster with characteristic calm and ingenuity. Expect eccentric relatives, romantic confusion, comic misunderstandings and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments along the way.
Adding to the fun, the production features live jazz music performed by actor-musicians, creating a lively atmosphere that perfectly captures the charm and glamour of the 1920s.
